Question about Starport

My Home planet keeps saying there isn't a Starport, so I can't build ships. I've build a TON of ships from my home, but says there isn't a Starport at the moment. I also looked to see if I can build one, and I can't.

Also, I can't seem to build a Starport in one of my other planets. All this time, I still can build ship on my other planet. What can I do??

Did you perchance accidentally raze the starport or upgrade it into another building?

It can be as simple as picking an improvement to build while having the starport selected rather than a blank tile.

Thanks for the posts! But, I can't build a starport, now....how can I re-build it? I can't seem to find it in my options of improvements, do I have to build them in a certian square??

If you've upgraded it into something else accidentally, then unfortunately it is lost. A side effect of the code that limits you to one per planet is that you can only build one per planet *ever*. If you destroy or build over it, you cannot build another there. It probably shouldn't be that way, but alas, it is.

Is that just for DA, because that doesn't happen to me at all when I accidentally raze my starport DL. If I raze or build over it, it just reappears in the build menu and I just rebuild it.

Interesting. It's possible that behavior was fixed, but if it was I wasn't aware of it. Then again I've avoided destroying special buildings altogether so I haven't dealt with it recently myself.
