Compatible with x64?

It no worky. =S

Uhhh... yeah. I used to be running regular XP Pro. Then, I recently upgraded to XP Pro x64. I decided that I'd install the free version of WindowBlinds (since I'm still too cheap to buy it). It installed just fine, no problem. I then tried to run it, and it said it needed to restart. No big deal, I saw that comming. So, I restarted, and tried it again. It didn't want to believe that I had restarted. It was asking me to restart again, or use an additional process. I tried the additional process, and it did nothing.

I've been considering buying Object Desktop, but I'm scared now that WindowBlinds isn't working. Is it me, or has it not been tested in x64?

if you had the 60 trial (there is no free version) installed, the 60 started the day it was installed and reinstalling won't work

Works fine in x64 (has a native exe and dll), and if you are using IE7 you will find a noticeable increase in UI speed over the default when you install the latest version and have a half decent vid card.

Alright, I'll believe you there. I don't see any reason for it not to work with x64. However, that still doesn't explain why it won't work. Since I formatted my hard drive before I installed this OS, any files left from that old copy don't exist anymore. Thus, that can't be the problem. Any ideas what's wrong?

I have x64, and the same exact problem. Ive tried the ShareWare product and my friends copy of the enhanced product. Neither works.

Installed, didnt work, Avast! antivirus disabled, reinstalled, didnt work.

Is your friends "enhanced product" a purchased version?  Either way this is not exactlly folowing the terms of sale for your friend. Perhaps he should post his System Information from the WindowBlinds Configuration screen in case he has some file issues.

Ill rephrase.

Installed, didnt work, uninstalled, Avast! antivirus disabled, reinstalled, didnt work.
This was the shareware version. Then i tried the enhanced version, with the same procedure and the same result.

His version works just fine on his own computer. As i said, i tried with his purchased version as the shareware didnt work.

Hmm. Could it be such a simple thing..

I have multiple accounts on my computer. All are administrator accounts.

I noticed a thing tho. The "base-admin" account that was created before this account im using. The "base-admin" account still have more privileges than i have. Hell, i think this is the problem. Now i remember, i had a similar problem when i tried to install a game that needed registry entries, etc. But then the installer actually told me i dont have the necessary privileges to modify the registry.

Im gonna try this when i get my computer reformatted and windows reinstalled. Had a major breakdown.
