mining base defense-- DA related question

Hello,

i was wondering if i start a mining base on an asteriod, can i upgrade its defense abilities like a normal starbase. if so, which tech would i need to research? Thanks

AFAIK no. But in all games I players I haven't seen any attack on them.

It's totally unproductive to attack them and the AI knows it. Seize the nearby planet and the bases will flip and start supplying you. Why bother destroying them and then having to rebuild them?

hehehe silly, thats like saying why bother bombing Nazi germany when were just going to invade and have to rebuild it!

Of course you do what you can do diminish an enemies production regardless of having to rebuild later, it's not my rule, thats just the reality of war.
