Production sliders bug still there !

This small UI bug is old (and maybe already reported), yet it was never fixed (DL and DA) :
1) the location of the cursor on the sliders (military, social and research) does not correspond to the percentage allowed, neither a) absolutely (cursor at the right end of the bar deos not correspond to 100%) nor b) relatively (I can have 42 on social and 56 on research ant yet the social cursor will be farther to the right)
2) when you increase or decrease the percentage of one slider, it does not evolve linearaly. For instance : I have 2 / 42 / 56 ; I want to increase my social production, but with one single click on the social bar right arrow I go to 2 / 81 / 17 ; with a second click I may go back to 2 / 43 / 55 ; with a third it may be 2 / 82 / 16 ; etc.
(If these points are not clear, I could post screenshots)

1a) is always the case ; 1b) and 2) do not occurr immediately (maybe it is only after one slider was locked, maybe it is on reloads, sorry for not testing), but once they're there they are a pain in the neck if you like to micro-manage your production each turn.
But I know Stardock is willing to fix bugs, so thank you !

yeah i wondered about that too, but I think the % and the actual spending listed might also be an effect of the number of factories etc that you have. This might sound odd, but Iget the feeling its not a bug.

U can try locking one of the sliders and adjust the other two. The lock button is the small square on the right of the percentage numbers.

for example, u can lock social, and try adjusting the research so the next laser tech will complete in 6 weeks when its set to 49%, than u lock research and adjust the remaining two.

Hope this helps.

BTW, this game IS about micromanagement.

On my first game, the sliders behaved "normally", that is their position corresponded to the percentage displayed, and the other two sliders changed automatically upon modifying any of the three. But then I made the "mistake" of locking one slider and playing with the arrows instead of dragging the sliders with the mouse. This allowed me to set one graphical slider beyond it's theoretical maximum, and from this point on they were messed up (e.g. the other two remaining static when moving one) in all my savegames and new games.
Unfortunately, I can't tell if it is a "works on first game start only" issue or depends on locking a slider, or using these small arrows beside them.

edit: forgot to mention I'm using the european ltd. edition (presumably dread lords/collectors) v1.40x

They've been like this since I can remember. It's definitely a bug, but ideally you want to send it to gc2bugs@stardock.com as well as highlighting it here on the forums.

Hello again !

I played DA 1.80e 098 recently, and the bug I mentioned in my first post is still there ! It should not be difficult to fix, should it ? Because it is really annoying : it makes me lose a lot of time, given that if you like to micromanage you will have to adjust these sliders a lot. Maybe my description of the issue was not clear enough.
So I took the liberty to renew this post and draw attention to this issue, so that it finally gets addressed.

Thank you

I have the same problem, and I've been having it since the game originally came out.

Sorry for dragging up an old thread.

And also, sometimes one of the sliders is greyed out. I'm serious. You can't use it. This is in TA; I'll post a screenshot later.

It's locked. Click the icon to the right of the slider to toggle the locked state.

Unless I'm missing something.
