I use DEXPOT (www.dexpot.de). I would use SD Virtual desktops except for a few features:
1. Speed. Switching desktops with SDVD is much slower than DEXPOT.
2. Desktop Preview is totally handy for me. This is where a tiled view of all your desktops appears on the screen and you can just click on one.
3. Window Preview does the same thing but shows each window in the current desktop.
4. Concise view (dextab).
