After patching the game I can now play my newlt purchased DA, however I cannot upload results to the metaverse despite being able to log onto it. How come?

Do you get an error (if so, what) or does it simply not give you a submit score prompt?

It tells me that the game failed to upload the results and asks me if I want to try again.

Does it give an error code number?

I suffred a brainstorm later in the evening and came up with the idea that maybe the metaverse doesn't recognize my games since it's looking for GC2 original games. That my account is somehow linked to only allow GC2 games and not DA?

The meta is taking DA games just as well as DL games, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Are you running the final release version for certain, and not the DA beta (if you were in it)? IIRC attempting to submit from the beta gave an Error 16.

If you didn't have the beta, then I'm not sure what else would cause it, and would recommend contacting support@stardock.com.

could you tell me why the registration number under my account/registration doesn't match the one with which I have installed the game and recieved in my verification mail?

no I didn't have the beta. For either version

I contacted stardock support on monday the 26th and I've yet to recieve a reply. One which I was promised within 48 business hours. Now my IE refuses to find the webpage, claiming the server is unreachable. Help please? I'd like to play this game but right now I've shelfed it since I can compete in other games instead.

I have the exact same problem. In fact, each time I look under my account/registration, there is a new serial (as I recall the serials did match each other some days ago).

Serials are regenerated from common factors each time. Any that you are given will work to activate the game.

Lord Orpon, I've asked support to check on any tickets you've filed. If you sent them from a different email address than that on your forum account (hotmail), please post your ticket ID here.

Hi,

I can't find a ticket under your email address. Please post the ticket number here or let Kyro know what it is so it can be forwarded to me.

I'm confused...

Let me explain: I have GalCivII Gold edition. In SDC's registration info and in the "Update serial" dialog in the DA launcher, the serial is the one in the original confirmation mail - it's made up of 6 groups of 5 characters separated by hyphens.

Looking here under my account/registration I see a serial 28 characters long. Also if I use the "Lookup serial" function in SDC I get emailed a 28 character long serial. If I try to use that serial in "Update serial" I get the message that the serial is not of the right format.

However, game plays fine, so no problem, except for MetaVerse, where I get a "mismatched serials" when trying to submit a game. I have tried with a character with the 6x5 character serial and another with the 28 character serial. Same problem for both.

So, any suggestions as to how I get to post to MetaVerse are most welcome

First off an apology. I misread, I just realised that 48 business hours means an entire week+, sorry.

I used my web providers e-mail, my bad. I've just gotten a reply but my ticket ID is GHO-842372.

I looked into the debug.err file and think this might be relevant:

Debug Message: PostGameToServer: Post failed. RPC error code: OriginalSerialNumberBlank
Debug Message: Raw response from Server:
Debug Message:

- and then this:

Debug Message: Clear data definitions.
Debug Message: Killing ship styles:

Debug Message: No files found matching mask ./MetaverseData/\FleetFormations\*.fleet

Huh?

Did you install from a disc (and thus not entered a serial to the game itself or activate)?
