Right Click Window to narrow

When I bring up the RightClick window (by right clicking on the desktop of course) the window is to narrow. The full text for the item is not displayed.

Example entry: Stardoc C...

I want to see the full name ie: Stardoc Central

What's strange is that I have a folder of shortcuts that displays properly. The names of some of the shortcut names are over 20 characters???

Are you using the latest version of RightClick, 1.20.008?
I thought the issue had been fixed.

A couple items to check.....
In the main RC directory there's a file called desktopmenu.obbar, open it with notepad. There should be a line item called FreeResizing= see if it's set to 0 or 1, mine is 0
There are several other "size" items in the file such as min & max you could try adjusting those.

My next guess would be something on the menu and the first item I'd be wary of is the systray. If you use the expand/contract features I've seen it cause issues in earlier releases. Second item on my hit list would be the MFU List. I'd suggest checking items by removing them > unloading and reloading RC and changing skins.

I was able to get it to expand to a larger size by unloading everything and then adding a Link (Shortcut or URL) with a long name. This only half works. The menu is larger and I can see the full application name but the menu does not resize automatically to fit the length of the text.

You might want to submit this as a bug.

Thanks for your help!

to quote Fairyy~
Try the TightItemWidthBuffer=
I know buzz taught me to increase that number for menus that have a graphic so that the sub-menus wont squish the picture , you increase the TightItemWidthBuffer. Im assuming you would decrease the number if you want smaller...but, I think the program itself has a default minimum...

it worked for me. I think you can also use the edge grabber, same way you adjust a window size but I haven't tried that for several versions
