Starship Rally Points vs. Colony Rally Points

What's the difference?

On the Governor's tab for Rally Points:

I wanted to add this into my guide - but honestly... I have no idea what Starship Rally Point is compared to Colony Rally Point. Can someone explain it to me?

The starship governor lets you assign new rally points to existing ships based on which rally point they're currently en route to.

The colony rally governor lets you assign rally points to colonies so that any ships they produce will go to that rally point automatically.

Oh I get it now. The starship rally point option was blank when I was writing the guide because I had no ships en route to a different existing rally point. SO that one is only useful if you alreayd have a rally point, and have a ship on its way to it.
