Alternative Missions?

What happened to them?

Usually, when I run into the Dread Lords in GalCivII Dread Lords Campaign, I went to see if there was an alternative mission. When there wasn't, I fought them to the full.

So why are there no alternative missions in Dark Avatar, as far as I can tell? A bunch of missions could easily have alternative. In specific, the fifth mission where you have to take the Dread Lord world Dithir to use their communications relay. Couldn't you do something similar to 'The Death of the Korx' mission, have to reach a certain sector, for alternative?

Probably there could be alternative missions for other missions. The ones I didn't check were when it was so easy, there was no point.

Sorry, the DA campaign is completely linear.

Oh... okay. Was there a reason for this?

The campaign was pretty easy, but I remember in DL after I beat the campaign, I went back and forfeited every time, getting the alternative mission just to see what they were.

I don't know, it made the campaign feel longer.
