Couple Questions About DA

I just got DA, and so far I have to say that I'm pleased with it. I'm playing some games on normal to get a feel for it, and I have a couple of questions:

1. Is it possible to peacefully break out of an economic/research treaty with someone (like there is with alliances)?

2. Can you get an intelligence report on an enemy ship that's in orbit (double-clicking doesn't seem to work as it does when they're in open space)

3. Just out of curiosity, is it easier to culture-flip a planet now? It seems to be happening more than it did in DL (or maybe it's just chance, I usually randomize everything at the beginning so I don't get stuck in a rut)

So yeah. The devs did a great job with this one, well worth the money for asteroids and graphics improvements alone. I like the new espionage system (makes a bit more sense it certain ways than the DL system, and your money isn't wasted after you conquer a civ).

No, they are permanent unless you go to war with the race you gave them to, or until that race is defeated.

I'm not sure offhand about #2, I'll have to go look. As to 3, I'm not aware of any changes to the effectiveness of culture.
