Supreme commander compatability issues

http://forums.gaspowered.com/viewtopic.php?t=268
The demo ran fine but the game itself crashes on launch with the following message:

The application failed to initialize properly(0xc000005). Click OK to terminate the application.

The solution- unload windowblinds...

Not sure where the problem comes from but at the moment this seems to be the only fix.

My system is Vista business edn, AMD 3500, 1Gig RAM, WB latest official beta.

Have you tried adding an exclusion for the exe?

Having the same problem, where or how do you put and exception in for that EXE?
It would be really nice for someone to answer this, since with the newest beta of Windowblinds the problem is still there. It took myself and the tech from GPG one hour to narrow it down to it being a problem with windowblinds.
To me this means that there is a MAJOR bug with this version of the program, since it seems WB5 does not have the problem.

System is
P4Dual 3.2
2 gig 667 ddr2
asus 8600gt w/256 meg DDR3

Same problem here. Supreme Commander only starts if I unload WindowBlinds 6. Where do I "exclude the exe" and which exe am I excluding? The Supreme Commander or the WindowBlinds?

Open the WindowBlinds Configuration screen and click on the "Settings" tab and then select "Change the look of an app". Click "Add per application setting" and locate the .exe for Supreme Commander. Click open and then under Total exclusion, put a check mark in "Ignore this application and do not skin it". Click OK. That should do it.

We have reproduced this on Vista with the beta and it should be fixed for the next build.
