Destroying Mining Stations

Bug or Design?

I didn't spot the topic elsewhere, but are computers supposed to be able to destroy my mining stations without declaring war on me? I've had this happen sporadically in several games, the computer never goes on a campaign against my mining stations, but rather will destroy one at a time over the course of 30 turns or so.

Apart from a bug....

sometimes you can be at war and recieve no notification. A quick solution is to always review the red HUD signals that appear on the right of the screen.

also you might be at war with a minor race and not even realise it!

Hmm, one incidence earlier tonight was a minor race so that's possible, but I believe that a couple of other times was a major race (that I definitely was not at war with).

Next time I see it happen I roll back to an auto save and see if it repeats with a major race.

I was definitely not at war with anybody.

I have not been able to reliably reproduce the behavior.

If you can get a save game file right before it happens, send it in so it can be looked at.
