Big Problems! need HELP!

i just got Windowblinds v 5(enhanced), Iconpackager v 3, Logonstudio v 1.0, cursorXP
and got alot of problems. my window is window XP media center service sp2.

Firstly,I cant play any game with these add-ons, even i set up an application to ignore all my game files(.exe files) on windowblinds so it was supposed to leave my game programs alone. However when I played games,my commands were very slow for example i play Need For Speed, i press forward arrow and it take about 3-5 secs to understand what i pressed and when going straight i cant turn left or right because i cant press left and forward arrows at the same time???(this is absolutely not right!!!).

Secondly, when I use Yahoo Messenger I coulnt change my status on my yahoo window because my YM was shut down automatically when i moved my mouse near to the status bar.

The final one, It seems take plenty of RAM memory doesnt it? My Computer i think is strong enough to run these softwares smoothly. My computer is a whole set from Compag company with 2 Intel Core 6400 2x2.13Ghz, Graphic card Nvidia Geforce 7500 LE 512mb, Ram memory 2056mb, 170gb hard drive free space. However I feel all my other softwares are running very much slower than before? Why?

Anyone can hlep me solve these problems please?

and why ignore? i think it's not a right way to ignore all .exe cause they aren't only games but all programs who are .exe

No Q94, I think they mean: Game1.exe, Game2.exe, etc


Yahoo almost always has an issue with being skinned - it's been mentioned that earlier versions can be okay, but newer versions need to be excluded (pretty much all the various yahoo .exes (try a forum search for yahoo)

various apps like WB, CursorXP, ObjectDock, etc (and on some of the ones I play: rainlendar, earthlink total access also) cause problems and have to be exited from unless I play windowed.

something about a drawing conflict - excluding a game from being skinned doesn't mean there won't be a layer/drawing issue with WB or CXP

but maybe some of the gamers will stop by with some pointer or workarounds

From my own experience there are some games for which I have to unload WindowBlinds and CursorXP. I have never had to unload IconPackager to play a game. I also have Windows Media Center XP SP2 but, I don't have Need for Speed. Unloading WB 5 and CusorXP to play a game has never been to much of a problem to go ahead and do when needed.

I've got NFS, NFS Underground, GTR, Doom III and all the CODs and the only programs I have to close before playing are Object Dock and Object Bar. Windowblinds makes no difference. (I play full screen) I did stop using CursorXP a year or more ago for some conflict I was having but I can't remember what it was.

i play NFS, NFS under, Most wanted, carbon, Kotor 1 et 2, diablo 2 lod, neverwinter nights, and more others... and i had never had any conflicts with object dock, cursorXP, or WB... the only conflict that i have: when i haven't finish a dxtheme and it wasn't in resolution independent cause for example diablo play in 1024x768max and my res is 1280x1024! lol imagine the result lol

I also have no problems running games. I unload windowsblinds and several other programs when I play just for my own sake but I've played with wb loaded with not problems, I also stopped using CursorXP some time ago because it was causing conflicts with the game pointers.
Make sure that the products you dl'ed are ok, if they are then un-install each program and re-install each one separatelly (rebooting after each install) also remove them from the registery (if your comfortable with that). If not then get the programs from their respected web sites first then do the un and re installs.   Hope this helps.

I agree for most games I do not have to unload WB or CXP. For a couple of them I do.

WB should have no impact on games.

If you are running the game in a window & have a per pixel skin & have ATI drivers & the game is using antialiasing (forced or otherwise) then you may find the game updates at one frame per second, but this is a known ATI driver bug.

Please post the information from WBs System Information page.

thanks guys..i just found out that my topdesk(flip 3D window program) caused that problem. I just turned it off and everything was fine!! just 1 more question, I want to set up a song for logging on and logging off but i cant set it up in Sound properties in Sound and Music devices in Control Panel. I just can set up music for start window. Im wondering that it derived from my logon screen changes( I used logonstudio software)
to Island Dock: yes i did.
