DesktopX pricing and feature questions

1) Is the 14.95 price a one-time cost, or is it yearly?
2) Does the 14.95 option allow the user to download and import widgets and stuff by themselves? Or does it only work importing entire desktops?

Q1=pay once you get free updates for 1 year...after 1 year its still yours,you paid for it.I think there is a resubscribe fee after 1 year.
Q2=it does both

me,I go for the whole Object Desktop package...49.95,you get a whole lot more.

DesktopX Pro gives you the app and updates for that version without any time limits doesn't it? Or was I just imagining that...?

Usually standalone products get updates within the same major version.  So if you buy v1.0 then you would have to purchase an upgrade if 2.0 came out, but 1.1 etc would be free.

ObjectDesktop is a 1 year subscription.
