Do you need to update GC2 to 1.5 before playing DA?

I noticed there is now a version 1.5 for the original GC2.

I think I noticed someone saying it was necessary to play the expansion DA.

Is that right?

I dont think it matters. Just install DA and THEN check SDC for updates.
