2 Q's for DA and Collectors edition of DL.

Hi

Does DA need some other download of ship components to make it selectable(located on the apperance tab) when creating a race? It is not selectable at all. Also where is the download for ship components for the original collectors edition? I do not see it in the site downloads any more like it use to be. Has it been integrated into the upgrades if you have a collectors edition number or something I am missing?

If you are referring to the custom style creation, that only applies to AI players--it lets you pick the templates they will use to design their ships with, since they can't create attractive designs. Unlike the AI, humans (sometimes) have a sense of aesthetics, so the option is useless for you; you can just design ships however you like while you're playing.

Also where is the download for ship components for the original collectors edition? I do not see it in the site downloads any more like it use to be. Has it been integrated into the upgrades if you have a collectors edition number or something I am missing?


If you had the CE before installing DA, those parts should still be available to you (they are for me).

Thanks Kryo for the response.

I have seen that my ship designing extras are still there, but lets say that I have to re-install the whole game at some future time how will I get the extras ship designs for my collectors edition?

and on the other note

Why is there a button on "MY" civilizations apperance tab if I cannot access it until I design my ships inside the program, remember this is on the "creation" screen for my civ not in the game yet.

The button to access the style customizing screen is only available when you're editing an AI player, because it only affects how the AI's ships look (The AI puts functioning parts on a template consisting of just a hull and jewelry, that screen lets you pick which templates they use for which types of ship). The changes you can make there do not have any bearing on your own ship designing, so it's disabled when editing the race you're going to play as yourself.

I'll look into it. I *think* they should be automatically unlocked on any installation anymore, otherwise it makes no sense for the unlocker to be removed.
