DA Scale

Which file is used to scale warships? I want to make it seem like Smalls are significantly smaller than Mediums (Considering that they look almost the same, size-wise.)

Small and Tiny look similar and they are space wise too.

Medium looks nothing like a small ship.

AFAIK the scales used in the battle viewer are not moddable.

Im sorry for asking this here, but what does AFAIK mean? I know that IIRC means If I Recall Correctly, but this one confuses me:(

I'm not sure that's not moddable. I'll have to look into it.

Check gc2types.xml in the galciv2\darkavatar\data\english directory

Awesome! Thanks, I was looking for this info!

You know, I think what I love most about GC2, is the fact that you developers are so active with your community. You don't see that to often anymore.

So, are the scales moddable in the combat viewer? Can someone give me some info, please? I would really love to see a huge capitalship with some tiny fighters flying around.

Again, AFAIK the scales used in the battle viewer are not moddable. The game uses internally specified scales based on the hull model names, last I checked.

Thank you for the info.

I really hope that at least the battle viewer will be enhanced in future patches.

kryo i don't know if this helps but when i did my tholian based ships in show off my ships

i did not scale any of the ships parts being used in making those ships ie the parts are all the same size

but when you look at them as the ship gets bigger the parts get smaller

Yes, because the entire ship is scaled to a set length based on the type of hull used.

So, does that mean if you make a tiny type ship that is absolutely huge, like a city ship, it will be scaled down to a really small city ship if it gets into a battle?
