Gadget extraction

from Stardock Forums
Recently i added some objects to my desktop and i set their z-order to desktop level.
Everything worked perfect until i extracted them to gadgets(stand alone exes).
The exe that was created is not anymore on desktop level.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem??

You need to access the gadgets properties, [rightclick] - Propertes, And then set the z-order there.

It's a bit annoying that you can't set a default z-order for gadgets...

Sorry i don't get it. Where should i right click for properties?
The exe that i created does not respond to right click.

When you exported it, did you tick the box for standard gadget properties?

have you seen in system tray or in taskbar?
Have you deleted the cache of DesktopX theme, Gadgets, Widgets?
If not try to erase this folders you can find theme in:
C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Application Data\Stardock\DesktopX

oh and if by error you have disable access by system tray or taskbar and your widget is configure to no appear when it was load... try to press F9 F10.
If there are nothing appear... Try to reexporte them but enable show in system tray.

That solved the problem my friend. Thank you very much for your advise.
I did not enable access by system tray or taskbar at the first time because
i do not want any access for the gadget. But after reextracting them, i set
the z-order to desktop level and the accesibility to none from the system
tray icon properties (as you said) and now everything works as it was meant to.
