I cannot see my way.

It's dark
and I reach out
and up and around
and I must be
in a briar patch
higher than
my head
during a
moonless
midnight.

I feel about
looking for
the way

and a voice
tells me
"do not trust
your intellect"

and another says
"do not have
blind faith"

and still another
voice is telling
me to stop
the search

and yet another
bids me forward
so
my progress
out of this maze
of confusion
is painstakingly
slow.

God please
at least
shine a light
and show the way

and let me know
it is Your light
and not
the false sheen
of an easy answer.

I know from
your vantage point
my way out
probably is
clear and easy

but
down here
right now
I'm lost
between
the mirrored hallways
and the unending corridors
of darkness
and the signposts with
wide smiles
and untrustworthy shifting eyes.

I move so slowly
through this labyrinth
of Yours
everyone down here
thinks I'm stuck.

But I know
You see
my progress.

Amen. Well done Buddah as always.

It is wonderful how you write what a lot of us think. Only you write it better than I think it.

It is always nice to know you are not alone.

But I know
You see
my progress.

Someone once told me that recovery (and growth in general) was cummulative. We see life through a microscope. When it sometimes appears that we are making little difference in our lives and the lives of others, when it looks like we're failing, the reality is quite different. A series of "failed" encounters amd "failed" experiences often adds up to success.

Thanks once again.

My thoughts exactly. What a way you had here of putting my own thoughts into words.
