SDCentral will NOT download libraries!!

Does anyone know why SDCentral won't download the libraries? I am not the only person experiencing this problem; see post: stardock central by PuterDude Jim

Using SDCentral v2.38.436, build 139 on WXP Pro fully updated PC I can download/install Object Desktop apps just fine but when I click on ANY library within Skins and Themes I get the error: "There was a problem downloading the selected library, please try again." I can also download/install items from the Site Updates --> Wincustomize Updates window. So internet connection is not the issue. Perhaps a SDCentral bug?

Its something borked, theres been a few people with this problem.  Email support@stardock and/or websupport@stardock.com, and they will try to get it resolved.  Apologies for the problems; Theres been alot changing on wincustomize, so its amazing that everything has been working as well as it has....

Also having problem downloading skins and themes libraries. I keep getting an error message.
Is Stardock working on this problem, as it seems to be affecting more than just a few users?
I feel that I have paid for a service that I am not getting.

I'm also having the problem of downloading anything from the libraries. Seems Stardock is aware of the problem and trying to fix it. It would be nice if they would send a general headsup email to all subscribers so they don't think there is a problem with their install or something worse.

I don't know whenthe problem started, but the first post here was after business hours on Friday.

Stardock has the right to go home to their families too, right?

I contacted Stardock Support and received the following email: Hello,

Gallery support has been temporarily removed from Stardock Central and the WinCustomize browser to significantly improve the performance of wincustomize.com. You may still access skins and themes from https://www.wincustomize.com in the gallery section without a problem until this performance issue has been addressed. Because of this change, you should notice a significant improvement in stability of wincustomize.com.

We apologize for the temporary inconvenience.

This is completely unacceptable, we are not getting what we paid for. Write them and complain.

Umm, how are you not?  You can still access everything that you paid for, just one method of accessing it is temporarily disabled.  As was clearly stated, this is *temporary*, so no need to get too up-in-arms about it all.

You did note the issue is temporary did you not? SD has a long history of dealing with issues. I at least, have faith that all will be as it should be as soon as they can manage, whether I write and complain or not.

The functionality has been disabled as we work to improve the service.  There are technical issues related to the browser that were impacting performance for everyone.  It is not a perm removal.  It is temporary while we work to get a fix in.

I have experianced the same concern for a few days now.. We must be patient with the good people @ Stardock.. a short term inconviance is a small price to pay.. (Just my Opinion)

Keep Up the "AWESOME" work.. (EVERYONE)
