Metaverse won't accept my games...:(

Hi...I've seen a couple of posts regarding this...but wonder if anyone found the cause and/or solution...
I play a game with a fresh install and no mods....updated to 1.4....try to upload results and I get that message saying
"(12) Your game submission was rejected because the application serial number does not match the serial number on the Metaverse server."
Any ideas?..thanks
