Inoperative game launcher

Does it give an error? Does your antivirus have script blocking on? Does it just not work? Please give some details.

I think it's anti-virus. Mine thought the launcher was a worm.

hey Kryo, what do you mean by script blocking? any way it does say something about a error, but this is the 2nd set I bought. I had the same problem with the 1st one.

also my brother just change the cd drive and now the campain mode doesnd work!!!!!!!!!!! can you explane why???????????

Many anti-virus programs have features to block potentially harmful scripts from executing on your computer. Unfortunately some such as McAfee (IIRC) cast a wide net and block ALL scripts, even if they are harmless (such as the launcher).

If you can tell what the error says it would really help figure out just what the problem is in your case.

You should make sure he didn't inadvertently change anything else while he was at it. The game does not use the disc at all once it has been installed, so the status of the disc drive would have no bearing on whether or not the campaign works.

You can go around the launcher and run the game directly (galciv2.exe) without the disc. If the launcher will not work properly for you, then I imagine you'd have the exact same issue with the disc's autoplay menu, as it's more or less the same thing.

In that case you should wait for your brother to return and ensure that the disc drive is working properly so you can install the game again.

In the future, please exercise the 'Edit' option on your previous post if you have something more to add shortly after posting, and nobody else has replied yet.

You cannot use mods in metaverse games.
