explorer issue

I searched and haven't been able to find much on this.
When using WB 5 (paid license), I have trouble with an occasional explorer crash. When I have an explorer window open, it will occasionally stop responding, then crash. I did some troubleshooting, and it stopped when I uninstalled WB.
I'm running a P4 3ghz processor, 1gb ram and a Raedon X300SE video card.

Any thoughts from the experts?

Open the WindowBlinds Configuration screen and select System Info. Copy/paste that information here.

your files appear to be mixed between 5.1 release via SDC and the trial/standalone version.

When you get SDC, register your product then it should show what's available.

Make sure that you completely uninstall your current version of WindowBlinds FIRST before downloading and installing WB via Stardock Central. A good practice in situations like this is to uninstall WB using "Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs". Then delete all the application files from the WindowBlinds folder: "C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\WindowBlinds". You can, however, leave any skin folders that are in there.

I downloaded the trial in December and liked it so much that I bought it the same night, so that explains the mixed files.

I uninstalled and reinstalled, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed now...

The dates are the most recent and should now be OK. Let us know if you still experience the same issues with explorer.

You may want to select the "My Account" tab above and then the "Crross Reference with your Stardock Account" link.

Thanks to everyone for the quick help. I figured this would be useful, and I was right.

I got the demo version and really like WB, so I bought it. When I went to install, it didn't tell me to uninstall the demo first. It only said to disable WB. I did and everything worked fine till this am. I would boot up and the cursor would slow and then no programs would open, especially IE7, My Computer, and Windows Explorer. When I would restart, I would get IMapp.exe errors and explorer.exe errors. I got to work and read about uninstalling first and thought I would go to safe mode and uninstall when I got home and turned my computer back on. Well, I got home and tried to simply start up as normal. And, everything works fine! This has happened before with XP, so I think it knows how to fix itself with a bit of "rest." Either that or WB is a "smart" program that knows how to fix itself. Either way, everything is fine. If I have this problem in the future, I'll simply follow the advice here and uninstall/reinstall.
