trial version expired immediately

i downloaded the trial version to validate that it does what i want.

I got both the server and client setup and was able to control the client from the master but was unable to move control back to the master. I ended up rebooting the master to try and resolve the issue.

After reboot I started getting the issue described in this thread : https://forums.stardock.com/?forumid=267&aid=136768

Essentially I can't load multiplicity, and theoretically it is because the trial has expired. In my case I had the trial version downloaded for about 20 minutes before it expired. This is on a 2k machine.

I then got annoyed and uninstalled on both machines and cleaned the registry on the master and reinstalled and switched the master and client. The second master exhibited the same issue as the first; when trying to load mulitiplicity it just gives a little beep and doesn't load.

Before I buy this I want to see it work on my machines. Any chance i can get a different trial version that isn't expired?

Thanks for the work on saturday, unfortunately, this version does not behave any differently than the one i downloaded from the main page. Is there any info i can collect to help triage the issue?

I am really hoping you can get something to work for me. I am dying to get my computer config finalized before tuesday.

I am stuck using synergy for now but it has issues that I don't want to deal with.

I would still like to use mulitiplicity but I won't buy it until I can get the trial to work.

meschu, sorry it seems you have been ignored.  These are community driven forums that the stardock staffpops in on.

For official support, you should send an email to support@stardock.com.

Have you uninstalled the old version you had (on both PCs) and installed the one from the MP site (http://storage.stardock.com/files/multiplicity_public.exe)

Does that version work for you?

Again, sorry for the lack of response, but if no one knows the answer to a question . .. it oftentimes gets left behind.  We all try to help each other. . . but sometimes there's not a whole lot we can do.  I hope my answer above helps.  Let us know.
