ObjectDock sucking my memory!

Renders it unusable.

Whenever I start up objectdock, it works fine. If I check in taskmanager, it uses about 25000K memory. however, as soon as its started, the memory usage keeps rising. After leaving OD on for 30 minutes, its using 500000k memory. In another half hour, its using a gig of ram, which makes my computer near unusable( I have 1.5 gigs). I love the program...Is there any way to stop this?

In ObjectDock Properties > Performance, you have 2 options for Memory / Speed Optimization ......
Optimize for performance
Optimize for memory

However, I have mine set to Optimize for performance, have 5 standard docks, and a tabbed dock with 8 tabs, and I'm using only 61100K. (I also have 1.5GB Mem)

I think you may have a docklet running with a memory leak. In Advanced Options you can Temporarily disable all docklets to see if that stops the problem. If that works, you'll have to re-enable the docklets, and then delete them one by one until you find the culprit.

Hope that helps......

Using 25,144K, here, says 138 user objects, whatever that is. Running three standard and one tabbed dock from bootup. Optimized for performance.Latest build OD+ . Have 512 RAMBUS RAM, 1.4 p4 and WIN PRO XP SP2. Just for a comparison...
Set for "I paid for this memory, so use it!"

Thanks! When I disable docklets, it hovers at around 18500K and doesn't go up. Now all i have to do is figure out which docklet it is.

i had this problem before also...one thing i've found that helped me was using icons instead of PNG files

I use very few ICO's .... about 99% PNG files. I don't think it really makes much difference which type dock icon you use...
