Open Stardock Central>Tools>Settings>General>"Enable MCP Notification Area Support">reboot
You should now have a Process called SDMCP.exe that's all there is to it.

Yes and no.
That SHOULD work, but it doesn't always do it. The systray functions of DX have never been reliable, nor addressed with any creed by anyone when I have brought up the issues.
It all boils down to this. Using the proceedure that Lantec described will enable it to work most of the time. Sometimes it just doesn't unless you unload DX and reload it.

I've never heard of the MCP stand-alone failing. Give it a try.

Stardock MCP download

Sorry still no go.

SDMCP.exe is running in taskmanager.

Re-Installed DX and still no go.

Reboot after each change.

Thanks.

I've used one or two themes before that didn't show icons in the DTX systray until I went into builder mode and changed the icon offest. I think it was set to 5 maybe. I set it to either 1 or 0 and they showed up.

I completly agree. Somebody is truly asleep on this one. I get most of my systray icons, there is always one icon missing no matter how many are running. I think because they see icons they think it is working correctly.

Meh...the SDMCP.exe is slightly hosed in some versions. I'm using ObjectDock and it worked fine until recently, then SDMCP.exe started hanging some processes at startup. My task bar wouldn't show up at all until I ended task on SDMCP.EXE, then it all popped right into place, however, only my security center icon would display unless I also ended task and restarted explorer.exe.

I changed my dock settings to not display in the system tray anymore and all is fine now.

The latest version of ObjectDock doesnt utilize the MCP.  At least, I'm pretty sure it doesnt.
