Standardize the file icon!!

Why? Because I have lots and lots of file types... and many vendors don't care what their icons look like! If we standardized at least the shape and texture of a plain file, then there would still be room for original ideas AND we'd have programs that came with their own, appropriately-rendered file types. At least if ONE type of file is not possible... have a glossy set and a plain matte set. Keep the shape, and put the file extension in roughly the same place.

The only problem I have AT ALL in customizing my machine is the time I waste in worrying about some ugly file bearing its teeth and ruining the look of my machine lol

I thought all icons were square at the edges.

Keep the shape, and put the file extension in roughly the same place.

Isn't the file extension always to the right of the decimal?

I hear, in Australia, the file extension swirls in the opposite direction...

I was going to say that when I first saw this post. lol. The only reason I didn't was because I don't know what the heck they are talking about.

Then, a couple threads or so over, I see Zubaz telling someone "Icons don't' change because they feel like it" and I think my cerebellum fused.

Gentlemen and Gentleladies, I believe there is an icon conspiracy in our midst..or an uprising at the very least. I'm off to the Dollar General to get more tinfoil. I can't find any of my 'old hats'.
