Optimizing Objectdock

I have decided to go the minimal route this time and am use OD+ for a taskbar replacement.  I have one dock for a sys tray and one for a start menu/my computer/ 2 fly out folders/recycle bin/minize to dock area.  I have checked in the dock setting to optimize for memory but even with a few hours of use it spikes to over 40 MB of useage.  Any thoughts of bringing that down?

Maybe I'm spoiled - but then again, maybe I'm a power user. I don't think of an app that accumulates to 40MB as a large one. Not to sound flippant, just a question - how about using Microsoft's strategy - buy more RAM? I assume that 40MB is a peak, or do you see it get much larger over time? Mine takes up over 25MB on load, and I have 3 auto-hiding docks, 1 tabbed dock, and 1 always-showing (task bar) dock.

Ever since I upgraded to OD+, I was able to make a Sys Tray dock and get rid of my task bar, and I love it!

I have always been of that route also....40MB doesn't really bother me. Except for the fact that I use the machine as a dvr. I already have 1gb installed and use 400-500 constantly.

I am just trying to figure out why OD+ is jumping up to 40MB. Trust me, I am an extreme power user.

Good question AT...I just looked at mine and it was also around 40 megs...I have 2 side docks and 1 tabbed docks with tons of stuff in it. And if I'm not mistaken it wasn't always around 40...but much smaller. So I'll be interested in seeing what someone else will come up with as to why it so big now.
