Diplomatic options

versatility

Are there to be additional options in Dark Avatar in the diplomacy menu such as:

Being able to make an opponent unconditionally surrender to you, or be given the chance to surrender to your empire's control.

Requesting other factions withdraw their war vessels parked within your zones of control. (Millitary access)

Being able to coordinate attacks with allies against a common enemy.

Convincing a faction to break off ties with its ally and join your side.

More sabotage options as well, such as maybe get in on some shady trade deals with a fellow faction for under-the-table profit, or set up trade pirates, other scandals and so on. Of course these are darker options affecting alignments differently, especially good alignment if uncovered.

Etc.

Thanks

P.S. Forgive me if already asked and answered.

Q) Being able to make an opponent unconditionally surrender to you, or be given the chance to surrender to your empire's control.
A) It depends if they are Evil, Good or Neutral but there is no way of forcing them to.

Q) Requesting other factions withdraw their war vessels parked within your zones of control. (Millitary access)
A) No, but this is a nice idea.

Q) Being able to coordinate attacks with allies against a common enemy.
A) This was in before the expansion.

Q) Convincing a faction to break off ties with its ally and join your side.
A) I think if you ally with them and attack there ally then they will have to deside but I am not sure...

A) Just the spies at the moment but a lot of the community want espionage padded out even more.

Here are my 2BC

I think by Coordinate Attacks the OP means "Okay, you attack West and I will attack South". This would be great, but the only game I have heard this existing in is Alpha Centauri. Not sure why it wasn't brought over to the various CIV games. I can imagine the AI programming for this would be pretty fearsome, not to mention all the interface programming (i.e. how do you TELL the AI to attack West, in a way that it understands)?

If I am allied to A and A is allied to B, then if I declare B, A will stay neutral since it has an alliance with both of us.

On that note, I think that the AI should on occassion break alliances. For example if I ally with the Altarians then I can be mean and evil, destroy all trading with them, embargo them, stomp on all the other races and they will not bat an eye. Hmmmm ... sounds kind of like the UN. Maybe it IS realistic afterall!
