Enh Dialog KILLED Coreldraw - HELP!!

Enh Dialog KILLED CorelDraw - HELP!!

Just after installing OD and Enh Dialog, when I access ANY dialog box in Corel Draw 12 or X3 (13), Corel crashes. I can play around in Corel until I have to access a dialog box. Then--crash! EVERY TIME.

I tried a restore point. That did not work. I have uninstalled Draw 12 and X3, Uninstalled every piece of Stardock software--WB, Oobjectdock, everything! Deleted everything I could find that is related to Stardock.

I then installed X3 again and guess what! SAME PROBLEM EXISTS!!
This is serious. I am dead in the water because I use CorelDraw for 75% of my work.

I NEED AN ANSWER HERE!!!

STARDOCK-- YOU MUST ANSWER - None of this 48 hours stuff!! I need to get back up NOW!!

Please Help!!

Start / run / cmd.exe

cd "\program files\stardock\object desktop\enhanceddialog"

regsvr32 /u enhdlginit.dll
erase *.*

Whatever is left, rename as it's still locked by the system. So:

ren enhdlginit.dll remove1.dll
ren enhdlg.dll remove2.dll

Reboot. If things are still unhappy, it suggests Corel has saved some positioning settings in the registry somewhere. Create another user account quickly to check.

I resored the Stardcok directory from the rahs bin and there is nothing in the EnhancedDialog directory. It is empty.

Any ideas from here?

Thanks!!

Created a new user account and CorelDraw works in that account.
So where is the bad stuff? Registry? Old Draw settings?

Thanks!!

I have uninstalled CorelDraw and tried to find everything that relates to CorelDraw on my system - directories, registry, etc. I have a post out in a Draw forum for info on where custom interface fiels reside. I noticed that this info is still residing somewhere.

What in the world did ED write to that I cannot locate it!!

Thanks,
David

This is getting too repetitive for me.
I uninstalled CorelDraw again, looked for everything Corel related and deleted it. I found some user config type stuff in the documents & settings\user data folder.
I believe that got rid of my custom interface. It LOOKED like was Corel was installed for teh first time.

However, the problem remains. Draw crashes upon invoking any dialog box.

Now I am $100s in the hole for these 2 days.

Where is the offending bit!?

ARRGGHHH

Thanks,
David

I don't have corel. But have had similar problems with paint shop pro.

I'm no Pro but this is what I do .Defragment then,{If one of the programs

is not installed before starting I Re-install it to make sure all

is removed from the registry.}

1-shut down anivirus and it's components.

2-remove the programs

3-reboot

4-re-install

5-Turn on antivirus if antivirus does not go off or restarts itself

before step 5 all will fail,if it isn'nt shut down before procedeing with

The next step.

I'm not trying to be insulting,I just don't know what you know or

don't know.

Good Luck

I don't suppose you're running the microsoft powertoys Tweak UI?

If you uncheck anything on the common dialogs-settings (i.e. 'Enable AutoComplete', 'Remember previously-used filenames', and 'Show Back button on file open/save dialog') the Corel file dialogs will be trashed and eventually crash. Having all three checked seems to prevent the problem (for me anyway)

Well, I have tried a multitude of things and the winner is... Wipe the drive and start over. This came at a bad time work wise, but I was getting ready to bring another system on line, so this just moved the process forward.

I will still use the products, just not the Ehanced Dialog.
