Yor graphical issues

Whenever I play GalCiv2, the Yor Graphics are always skippy. Nothing else is wrong with the game graphics, and I'm having the same Yor issue on my grandmothers computer!{brand new on, top knotch in almost every way} Can someone help me out here? P.S. I'm on Patch 1.4x

Sounds like your patch download is a bit corrupted. Try downloading the patch again

I think he is referring to the Diplomatic screen,,where the Yor image flashes brightly now and then.

Ya, there is a frame of white in the animation - the Yor using subliminals, most likely. Makes you forget what you gave them so far, and makes you want to give them more.

There is a bit of flicker in the Yor diplomacy animations--that's just the way it is. If that's not what you're seeing (and you have trouble with other videos), post your debug.err.

Yep, 5_trade00.bik (hostile Yor movie) is the only one movie with this problem. It's also the only diplomatic .bik-movie that has sound since they all use seperate sound-files. Might or might not be part of the problem. Anyway I reported this issue ages ago but nothing has been done about it yet.
