Windowblinds does not load with windows

I recently installed and purchased object desktop, and installed the newest version of Windowblinds. I can install skins fine, and they work fine, but when I restart my computer it reverts to the windows classic skin (no skin). This is the first time running into this problem, as I have run windowblinds perfect on this same computer for over year now (just renewed object desktop subscription). The only thing I have changed is that I am now running windows xp pro x64 bit version instead of the 32bit.

WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 5 (5.1 (build 82 x86))

I've unistalled and re-installed version 5.1 (instead of the 5.49... beta) and still have the same problem. Also, stardock central still installs the same Wbsrv.dll (march 17, 2006). Also, it switches back to the windows classic theme even when I log out of my account and log back in, it is not limited to restarts. Im not sure what my account info says about being a citizen not a customer, but any help would be welcomed.

Heres from 5.1:

kinda depends on which site we're accessing the forums from when we click your name - WC is better for that, but my employer blocks it

Yes I see what your saying about the versions and the dates under "history". Any way to direct download the correct version of windowblinds as I seem to be getting the old version no matter which build I download using stardock central (or at least getting old .dll files)?

As for my picture, all it shows is the WbSrv.dll in the wb folder dated 10/9/2006 (the correct date for build 5.1). Maybe I am having a problem with wb recognizing the correct file?

You have the 32 bit beta installed on a 64 bit system. Un-install it and install 5.49b[b].23.

It's possibly a question of what ver of SDC you are using...as there was one ver that refused to update itself...so also did not show newer WB vers, etc.

Current SDC ver should be [in theory]....2.38.433 build 139

Tried, same thing happens, still says its the x86 version (32 bit). I have the newest version of SDC. Is there any other way to download the 64 bit version besides SDC?

My windowblinds also doesn't run when Windows starts. I cannot figure out why. It was reinstalled after being backed up within SDCentral.

Have you tried updating from 5.01.006 to 5.1.009?

Don't think so, but I'm ignernt. Unless somebody stops by with an answer or instructions on how to get one to go away so you can get the other... you might consider putting in a Help Ticket ( I think that's the right link - employer blocks too much stuff)

I just updated to 5.10 and run x64 (intel) and i have the same problem. I had the same problem on 5.01. I uninstalled it completely with wb unloaded, and made sure all the files in the program files folders were deleted. I rebooted and installed the latest version downloaded from stardock. When I reboot it still reverts back to the windows classic (no skin at all).

anyone have any suggestions?

where are these files located so that I can go an manually delete them?

I just did a full system search (including system and hidden files) and the only one I found was the one listed in my program files (x86)/stardock/object desktop/windowblinds folder which I know for a fact was put there by the installer I just ran because that directory was completely empty before I ran the installer.

It has to be some other issue aside from file versions. If I had to guess I would say it was a corrupted registry entry, but I have no idea what the reg entries are suppose to be for this software.

Uninstall everything
Reboot
Reg clean
Install SDC
Install WB
Reboot

That should clean everything out
