Race relations

Hi,
can anyone explain to me how to interpret the race relation factors?

e.g.

-- Military might
++ Trading
+ Historic friendship
++ Too busy to make war

etc.

If I happen to be the weakest militarily, does a " -- military might " mean that that race would get along with me better if I had a better military?

Thanks

-- military might: they consider you too weak, yes you need a stronger military.
++ trading: all the trade routes between the civs. Trade is a good way to boost relations.
+ historic friendship: you have been peaceful and friendly towards this civ for a long time.
++ too busy to make war: their military is either weak or tied up elsewhere; they couldn't handle a war with you.

Hope this helps.

The weird thing is historic friendship works against you sometimes. In my current game i have been friends with the Thalan for the entire game(about 6 years). Yet the Historic Friendship has two negatvies next to it.
