Possible graphics bug

Graphics drop out

Hi all, Ive found a possible graphics problem in the latest DA beta.

I dont know how to provide a log for this, if one was automatically made-how do I access it?

Click for fullsize version (1920*1200, 158KB)

I cant exactly remember how I produced this bug, but will note how if I encouter again, all clickable controls were still working, IF you could still see them, for eg I saved the game using quick save before closing the program using the menu options. From what I remember I was upgrading a starbase, pressed enter for next turn and the picutred resulted.

System specs:

MSI K9N Platinum SLI
AMD AM2 Athlon 4600+ DualCore (at stock, 2.41ghz)
2Gb DDR2 PC-6400 OCZ Platinum XT (OCZ part code: OCZ2P8002GK) (w/ 1.95v applied-neccasry to ensure system posts)
ATi Radeon 1950 XTX, stock.
Auzen Tech X-Plosion Specs/details

Everything is updated to latest: Windows, Drivers, and firmware/bios where applicable.

Ps, if this aint the right place to post about this can you point me where would be more appropriate.

Thanks,

Nathan.

A debug.err file should be generated each time you run the game, located at C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\Darkavatar. Just open it with notepad and paste the contenst here.

Wow, a lot of these bugs happen to me, when it happened to me, I moved the screen to the left as the vote for party screen came on, and the tech tree tried to pop up and then every thing went Like it was on the screen above.
This Problem, like the other one actually does not cause the game to crash but rather just freeze, so no debug would be made since you have to Alt-Ctrl-del your way out of the game when it happens.

This is incorrect. While SmartException generally requires a 'clean' crash to desktop to create a log, the game writes a debug.err as it goes so there will be one there no matter what, even if you only got as far as the opening movie.
