? about custom race to custom opponent

I was wondering if I could take my custom race files from GCII, and move them to Dark Avatar to use as custom opponent. If so, what files do I move where. I could probably figure it out, but I don't wanna chance screwing my game up. Thanks for any help

btw; Love DA lots of new stuff to play with and stable. What more could a guy want?

It may work if you just copy the .raceconfig files from My Documents/My Games/GalCiv2 to My Documents/My Games/DarkAvatar. You might also need to change the extension as I believe race files in DA end with .customrace (don't remember for certain and I don't have DA on my laptop here...).

ok thanks  I'll give it a shot. I like the idea of playing against the race I've been playing as for a while.

Forgot this last night, but you may also need to manually add the settings for the new AI customization options in DA, etc. I haven't tried it to see if the game will properly handle raceconfigs taken straight from vanilla GC2.

Yea. I decided against it after I compared the files side by side decided there were to many added tags in the DA one. Besides thats what the custom oppnents are for anyways  , so I just created a similar one and moved my logo and portrait over. Kinda weird seeing guys I'm used to being as opponents. Definately cool.
