Cannot change icons for MS Office links

Hello guys,

I just purchased and installed IconPackager, and it works just fine - with one exception: I cannot change the icons for links to MS Office XP (Outlook, Word) icons. I can open the properties tab for a link e.g. to Outlook, but the "Change icon" button is disabled.

Everything else works fine.

Windows XP SP2, Office XP, current version of IconPackager.

Any ideas?

This is because those programs are installed and managed by Windows Installer. You have to go into C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10 and recreate the shortcuts from the .exe files. Then you will be able to change their icons.
