SDCentral downloads - is there a resume option?

Downloading Space Rangers 2 through SDCentral (approx 16% done) I needed to shut SDC and reboot. When I restarted the SR2 download it started again from 0%.

Living in the sticks I have a slow broadband connection which drops out completely occasionally - so the chances of downloading all of SR2 without another interruption are pretty slim.

Is there an option in SDC to get it to resume downloading from where it left off after an interruption?

bump, just in case they're still needed

AFAIK it should resume from a drop out but not from a user shutdown.

I'm not sure about it either, but it is something that might be useful.

Looks like Drengin is correct - just had the broadband connection drop out, SDC resumed download from 18%.

Edit - found the option, it's in Tools/Settings/Internet/Internet Settings - option to resume partially downloaded files. Looks like it's set to "resume" by default, which is good.

I, too am trying in vain to download Space rangers II and also live ' out in the sticks' with a not always reliable broadband conection. It makes no difference whether the 'resume download' box is highlighted or not, if there is any interuption to the data flow or if I select the 'cancel' button, the download will not resume but instead restarts at 0%. Clearly as I am not the only one to be having trouble there is likely to be a bug in SDC which needs sorting out.

Those having downloading issues, can you please confirm which version and build of SDC you are using? You can check this by going to the Help menu and click the About item.

Also, what server is SDC set to download from? You can check this by going to the Tools menu and select the Settings item. From here, select the Internet section.

As I wrote in the other thread. I am using Stardock Central ( SDC ) version 2.36.427 build 134. Also SDC is set to download from server 1. I have also tried server 2 with no success. Thanks.

Using the same figures as Isotropy, I am finding it impossible to even download the demo.
It takes at least ten hours and the chances of staying connected for that length of time are zero.

Using the same figures as Isotropy, I am finding it impossible to even download the demo.

The demo is being hosted on a different server, so that's not related to the full version.

I've let the SDC developer know to re-check the forums.

Isotropy, can you please email me directly at bharper@stardock.com? We have been unable to reproduce any problems and were hoping you could try a debug build of SDC so we can investigate the issue further.
