Need Help, Wallpaper Changer

First thing I'm a newb and I appreciate your help. I'm trying to make a sports based wallpaper changer that will check the day of the week every 3 hours or so and rotate the image dpending on the day of the week so, my favorite sports team wallpaper will apply on gameday.

My problem is I'm new to vbscript and I can't seem to figure out how to get the day of the week. The only thing I've been able to get is the complete date in month/day/year format. Please if anybody can help me in getting this figured out your help is much appreciated.

There are a number of objects that are based on date. They would be a good start.
THere are also some wallpaper objects. I think Tiggz had a very sophisticated one.

Search the galleries and grab a few. Tear them apart and c'mon back with specific questions. You'll learn a lot more that way.

For the record, I'm not trying to be a smart ass. There are usually two kinds of help available: 1) Help me learn to make cool stuff or 2) make something for me. Both are valid and fair and good. Your question didn't lean one way or the other, so I went with option one. If you meant option two or a mix, let me know and I'll do what I can to assist.

Create a text object and insert this test script.

Dim display, display2

Sub Object_OnScriptEnter
Call SetWeekday
object.SetTimer 1, 2000
End Sub

'---Call 'SetWeekday' every 2 seconds---
Sub object_ontimer1
Call SetWeekday
End Sub

'---Check Weekday and set object text---
Sub SetWeekday
display= (WeekdayName(Weekday(Date)))
display2= (Weekday(date))
object.Text= display & " " & display2
End Sub

'display' will get you the actual weekday name, and display2 will get you a number representing the day of the week.
