For advanced Skinners

How long does it take u skinners:
1. Get hang of it from no experience of Skinning?
2. Make a whole visual style skin?
3. have u ever damage ur PC hardware or software causing of Skin?

Just wondering cos i want to do it i have experience of GFX now am taking a level up from it.

as for me..
1) 7 years and still not good at it.
2) 10 work hours to ... until i gave up (++8 months)
3) nope...except for that one time my graphics card went dead on me..but unsure if it directly from skinning
