Galactic Peace!?

Galactic Peace!?

So I'm playing my first maso difficulty game and the year is 2235. How I made it this far I'll never know... Anyway after a galactic gang up on the Drengin, pretty much everybody vs. them, the weirdest thing is happening. The whole darn galaxy is going peaceful on me! Already three civs, namely the Drath, Altarians, and the Terrans, have alliances with everyone. There isn't even a civ that has bad relations with another. Has anyone seen this before? I know I haven't...

Cevohcam, when you saw that behavior in the past games, were the Vengance ships fantastically weaker than all your combat ships and well-established bases?

1 laser attack, small hull, and thats it. None of my star bases had any defenses as they were all well within my own teritory, and I had strong boarders. Typically my ships have 50-200 attack/defense of each type.

I'm guessing then that the stats for the post-Assassin swarm have little or nothing to do with the human player's stats.

Even with my off-spec system, I'm pretty sure that this event needs help (or removal). After some nutbars from "my" civ assisinated Alan Bradley, I had to destroy about half the Terrans' non-Vengance ships and take a healthy chunk of their oldest worlds, but I got them to lay off by the end of the second post-event week. We'd been allies since close to the time I got Alliance tech, which was pretty early.

Now I need to see if that was a tedium-spawning mistake--I'm no closer to making the Yor my ally, the Terrans are along way from Friendly now, and this game I turned off tech victory b/c I wanted to go for an alliance win and have never bothered to finish a military victory.
