Problem w/ Screen Resolution Settings

a few days ago, i set the resolution settings to 1200X1600 (the max on the moniter i was using). Now, I'm using a different moniter which doesn't go up to that level of resolution, so all that I get when I start the game is a black screen, and cant access any moniter capable of that resolution. Yeah, I know, waht an idiot. Anyways, I can exit out of it fine, but I can't use the menu to change the settings back.

So, is there an out-of-game way to change resolution configuration, or do i justhave to uninstall the game completely to change the settings now. And, on a related note: where is the save game folder, so that I can keep the games during a re-install?

Thanks for your help

In your my documents/MyGames/galciv2 folder there is a Pref ini. file that you can open in notepad. You'll be able to manually change the resolution and just save. I had to recently do that when i changed my desktop resolution.

Games are saved to that folder as well.

And uninstalling the game will not delete those files. Any user files will remain.

Deleting Prefs.ini will force the game back to defaults, which includes a 1024x768 resolution. The game will simply recreate the file next time you play, using the default settings.

Feature request:

A setting to allow the game to start in whichever resolution my desktop is currently set to. That would make the life of us laptop-users-who-sometimes-play-at-their-LCD-TVs a lot easier.
