WB5 vs Goldwave

Incompatible

I've discovered another incompatibility.
Im using the newest WB 5 trial on a 1 week old install of XP SP2.
I use an audio editor called Goldwave 5.14 (goldwave.com).

When I use any skin in WB, and open any window in Goldwave (say the batch processor, "new" dialogue, almost any new dialogue, I get the error:
"Error reading HDog->BorderStyle:Access violation at address 6601E25C in module 'wblind.dll'. Read of address 00000020."

If I disable the skin, or disable windowblinds, everything works fine

Apparently WindowBlinds is prone to incompatibility. My machine is unable to open both Corel Custom Photo 6 and Corel Photo House 5. With a skin loaded, both programs show their splash screen for less than a second, then quit. Unloading WindowBlinds fixes the problem.

The only program I have come across with WB5 issues is Adobe Illustrator CS2. I can't really complain tho .

My advice: add the programs that give you problems to the application exclusion list in WB5. See if that fixes your problems.

I added the two programs to the exclusion list. This fixed Custom Photo 6, but not Photo House 5. ???? Any ideas, anyone?

I have tried Goldwave here with the latest WB without any problems at all.

Keikonium: What problems are you having with Adobe Illustrator CS2?

Buck2348: There do not appear to be trials of those 2 apps so I cannot test them out here.  What happens if you hold down CTRL while loading the apps?

Its only a minor graphical glitch, and doesn't affect proformance or anything. Here are the images:

^^ Thats photoshop. The buttons are fine.

^^ Thats Illustrator. The - button is a bit off, and the X button doesn't exist. The function for that area is still the same however.

Thats all I experience. Everything else for every program I have used works fine. Except Project64 which refuses to load with WB loaded (even after program exceptions set).

Have you tried using the latest Goldwave, and opening say a batch conversion?
I too experience the same "graphical glitch" in Illustrator CS2 with WB5
