Xeno farm bug?

Couldn't find anything similar on search ...

Version 1.31: Crippling

A recently built Xeno Farm seemed to be producing no food -

Save, restart GC2 and load, the Xeno Farm is now producing 5mt of food, though the description says it should be producing enough to feed 6billion people?

No clue why the save/load was necessary, but the Xeno Farm was changed from feeding 6B to 5B in v1.3b3, apparently the text wasn't updated to reflect this.

The Xeno farm not producing food bug has been around since at least 1.2. It tends to occur around planet acquisition events. In particular, if you buy a farm after the planet pop-up from an invasion, you are likely to see this. The save/reload game should always return the tile to normal function (at least it has for me on multiple occasions).

I guessed that might be the case.

That could well have been the case here, I'd just had a couple of Terran planets defect to me.

Thanks for the info

I've had production levels fail to update on occasion as well. Restarting the game corrects them.

Ditto--I was about to post this as a bug as well; the production bonus from a research center wasn't showing up. I wouldn't have complained, but it was on a +700% Precursor Library     . Saving and reloading it fixed the problem, and the research center is now happily draining my treasury.
