Clarifications on Walls Submissions

Em...just a quick clarification cause i think i'm doing something wrong. I've submitted 12 walls and 11 of them got rejected, although i'm following all instructions given. Here is what i do:

a. I put in each .zip file 1600x1200, 1280x1024 and 1024x768 and also submit a preview at 1024x768.
b. I don't put additional resolutions in order to keep filesize down.
c. None of them was a terrain render. Bryce abstract renders post edited in Photoshop are too included in the "not accepted" list? Don't think so cause the one accepted for the GUIChamps is under that category.
d. Photographs are not allowed? Not even photomanips?
e. We are allowed to only one submission per category or is as many as we want?

So? Do i do something wrong? Is it a submission error? Or is just theme/inadequate quality/performance moderation?

PS: I do get rejection e-mails with the standard reply that 'your submission has not met the guidelines'.

Last week, as I worked through the wallpapers queue, I posted saying unless there is a technical issue with a submission, you will just be getting the standard rejection email.  Time does not permit me to write to each and every individual over each and every one of their submissions.  The rules state that if need be, wallpapers specifically will be moderated in part based on quality.  We simply had too many submissions, and the quality varied greatly;  From superb artistic works, to MS Paint doodles and everything in between.  After a certain point there had to be a line drawn to prevent the entry list from being overwhelming.  Some made the cut, some didn't.  It's not a comment against the walls themselves, because many of them would have been accepted into the WinCustomize library without question, but we had to take into account competitiveness of entries when accepting them into the GUI Champs.

Believe me when I say we've learned a LOT from how the wallpaper events went this year.

Thank you Zoomba, so it's a quality thing after all.

PS: At least we are allowed to post the rejected works on other sites, right?

Absolutely.  The only rule was they couldn't be posted BEFORE submitting to the competition.  You can even post to WinCustomize.
