WAY to many ships.

I've noticed that in my games the AI makes billions of different ship designs. Wouldn't it be better if they just made a few and upgraded those designs? It is so anoying every turn seeing a new tpe of shp built. Also it would be cool if the computer gave some names to the designs instead of the numbers. Like the Altarian Crusaider and the Drengin Vengance and stuff. It's a brilliant game, just this just irks me a little.

the AI only creates a new design once every...6 months or 4 months with the new option on.
i haven't seen the IA creating that many new designs.

and the number, you sure its not just the number of ship that was produced?
every ship has its own number.

Also the AI doesn't make ships that really look different so there wouldn't be any good in naming them.

Also you can name those ships the AI has built just like you can your own.
