Quixen, you should stop by and register at the Galactic Core. The metaverse council has a private and public forum there. We will probably still conduct most business here for transparency sake, but it would be nice to have an inner sanctum available for when we need some peace and quiet.

I moved my experimental character, One Charlie Echo into the empire this evening. I recently wiped out his crappy scores and finally played the tiny suicidal game that I've been meaning to get back to.

Given what we're tyring to do with the Metaverse Council and the AltMeta, I thought this would be a good time to add him in. Plus it's another 17750 points for the Empire! My main character is moving on to large galaxies, so I may play a few more small ones with this guy.

Thats great MarshallONeil! I was actually thinking about maybe doing that with one of my characters too. Also it will move us closer to 1000 games posted, which pretty neat.

Congrats everyone! We just broke one thousand games played, and have expanded our membership to 127 members. Also we have managed to push our score to over 4,200,000. We seem to have a good push going at the moment, hopefully we can keep it up.

Well got my Racial medal Now I can start playing the races I like v.s what I need to finish it. I did however find out there are more races I like than dislike.

Congrats Azragaul! There are a few good races to play, each with there own strengths and weaknesses. You just got to play around with them till you find the race that best suits your playing style, or you can just customize your own.

I assume that most folks have seen the open offer to host empire web sites at The Galactic Core . I’m pretty sure I made the same explicit offer to HCH previously, although I can't seem to find the post.

Anyway, even if you do have your own web site, HCH should have a presence at the Core as well. A number of your members are there on a regular basis, it’s the home of the metaverse council and the AltMeta, and it really doesn’t take much to set up a private area specifically for HCH. There’s really no work at all on your part other than to say yes. What do you think?

Mumblefratz: I like the idea, and I support maintaining a forum on the Core as well as the one we have. I have noticed that there seems to be a few members of the HCH lurking around the Core, so it seems it would make sense to have a forum over there as well.

Great. I'll ask the admins to set up a private area for HCH with you as the moderator. I know you, Quixen and Marshall at least have already registered so I'll have you all set up as members. As other HCH members join you can leave a note in the moderator's area to have them join your group as well. If there's anything else you need don't hesitate to ask.

I'll make sure they're part of your group. Actually, I've asked for the Presidential suite with a view overlooking the Rose garden, but there seems to be a bit of a hold up. It is so hard to get good help these days you know.   

I think that most of the admin's are in bed by this time in jolly old England. I expect we'll get this set up sometime tomorrow.   

No problem, the rose garden sounds nice, I think I can wait for that.   

The High Command Hegemony's new quarters are ready at The Core. Careful though, some of the paint isn't quite dry yet.   

Alex is set up to moderate the area and Quixen, Marshall, Azragaul and Dark Snathi were added as members. Alex will have to drop a note in the Moderator's Corner to give other members access to the HCH private area, but at this point you should be good to go.

Alex, are you going to move the forum proper over to the core? No problems from me, I just don't want to post at the old HCH forum if thats where we are heading.

Mumblefratz, do you know why the BBcode for the altmeta ID bar doesn't work in a signature? I couldn't get it to work over at the HCH forums and there doesn't appear to be any signatures allowed on this one. I haven't posted at the Core yet, so I'm not sure whether it will work there or not, but I have put it in the signature block of my profile there.

phpBB doesn't support image URLs with symbols in them like the altmeta banners need. Still looking for a workaround.

Sure thing. Will do. Actually I have to ask someone to do it so give it a day or two. Technically the request should come from the emperor (or moderator) i.e. Alex because I have no access rights to HCH forums and he should really be the one to validate that the people requesting access to his forum are indeed HCH members. In this case I'll just go ahead and make the request for you.
