Why won't tabs work?

Help.....

I have a tablet and a desktop computer... The tabs for object dock work fine on my desktop, but on my tablet, they just don't show up! What is wrong with my computer?

I have a viewsonic TPCV1250 and run OD+ both in landscape and portrait.

Do normal docks work?

What happens when you create a tabbed dock?

Screenshots might help.

Normal docks do work.. When I create a tabbed dock, it shows the icons "Quit Dock", "Customize Dock", and "Start Menu". But no backround... Sorry I don't have screenshots, I don't know how.

How was OD installed on the tablet? If it was a copy of the desktop install you may not have copied all the necessary files/folders. There's also config info in some hidden 'documents & settings\[username]\local settings\application data\stardock' folder that may have to be copied also.

Other than that, you just might have to go into 'dock settings->Tabs & Styles' & select a background (?)

I installed it from stardock Central. I activated it there too. I tried the backround, I could move it around like that, but still no tabs!

Clear your cache to force ObjectDock Plus to load with the defaults. This will tell you whether or not the program is supported to use tabs on the tablet.

Note - 'cache' is a general term for the stored preference/configuration files for the ObjectDock program. These files are kept in a normally hidden folder which is referred to by ChrisH in comment #3.

To clear the cache:

1 - Close ObjectDock

2 - Open "My Computer > Tools menu > Folder Options > View tab" and then select and apply 'Show hidden files and folders'.

3 - Go to "C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Stardock" folder (where "C:\" is the hard drive with the user folders) and delete the "ObjectDock Plus" folder found there.

4 - Start ObjectDock which should now load with a tabbed and non-tabbed dock.

That should do it unless there is something missing in the installation or OS support.
