I cannot successfully install my ATI TV Wonder Pro on Vista RC1. Any suggestions?

I have the same problem. The drivers that I found on the ATI website (supposedly made for Vista RC1) cause Vista to freeze and, upon rebooting, the dreaded blue screen appears. I had to go into safe mode and use system restore in order to remove these drivers. I am hoping that ATI fixes this.

I have found on ATI.com that this card is not supported by Vista. ATI TV Wonder Elite is supported as well as all All-In-Wonder. I guess I will upgrade to Elite
when Vista arrives in January.

When I first installed Vista it did not recognize the ATI TV Wonder Pro card. I installed these by installing from a list, and choosing ATI under TV Tuners. It has the card listed so I installed the embedded driver. The ATI Wonder Pro software, including MMC 9.15 didn't work, even after successfully installing it. I managed to run the MMC once and got thru the initialization, but I never got sound or picture (I use Composite since I have Satellite TV). Windows Media Center doesn't recognize the hardware either. I decided to try something outside the box - so I uninstalled all the ATI software (left the driver for the capture card installed) then installed the drivers for the TV Wonder Elite. You have to use XP compatibility for this or it won't work. I downloaded and installed Cyberlinks PowerCinema (http://www.cyberlink.com/multi/download/trials_12_ENU.html). Make sure to use compat mode for XP again. This worked great after a trip to settings. As usual, the installation insists on either Cable or Antenna, which I don't use; this is irritating, but I was able to get it working. After this is installed, you have to change the program's compatibility to Windows XP so it won't lock up on you. After that, it worked perfectly and I haven't had any trouble with it.

I was able to install my ATI TV Wonder Pro driver on Vista using the original ATI cd. First I attempted to install the drivers from the CD so the files would be placed on my hard drive. Then I selected the unknown hardware from the device manager, and browsed for the drivers on my hard drive. Once the first driver was installed (I think it was the crossbar), the rest installed automatically.

The device is not recognized by Media Center, and I could not get MMC to even load the TV viewer. I also tried BeyondTV, chris TV, and PowerCinema, and none of them worked properly either. However, the freeware program DScaler (http://deinterlace.sourceforge.net/) works just fine!
