Can i save somehow my own created desktop themes?

Hello!Im newbie  

Im just started to learn this program, it's awesome. my question is: if i made a new dekstop theme, can i save it with install? Because i would like to share my art with my friends

Switch to Desktop Builder mode.
Right-click on the systray icon
Choose Save desktop.

Your friends will have to install DX ($15)unles you own DesktopX Enterprise edition ($499) {it comes with 50 liceses for DX client}.

If you buy Desktop enterprise for $400 US, you get one license for yourself and 50 to give away to your friends/family/whoever. They can then install DX and then any desktops you create.

It means:

with the Standard version you can create objects (intended user's pc needs desktopx installed and running on their computer) or widgets (intended user's pc needs desktopx installed but not necessarily running)

with the Pro version you can create the above plus gadgets (self executable/running - gadgets do not need desktopx installed on intended user's pc)

BUT you may not create an entire desktop as a gadget - for that you need to purchase the Enterprise Edition which comes with licenses for 50 intended clients = so if your friends don't have DesktopX, they can't run full desktops unless the created desktop is licensed. They can run individual gadgets you create if you have the Pro version.

aha ehm maybe stupid question but what happening if i create a desktop with pro version and i upload it to my site, and more that 50 ppl download/use it

I think you mean Enterprise

I'm not quite sure (you might want to contact sales and ask) but I'm guessing what you get with the licenses is possibly 50 serials generated - each can only be used once.

that's just a guess


with pro you can create entire desktops, but the end users will need dtx installed

Anyone that has the DX client running could use your desktop. 50, 100, 1000, 10,000.

most if not all desktop themes at WC were created either with Standard or Pro - those of us using them have DTX installed
