problemes avec la 1.3 au niveau des batailles de vaisseaux

j ai installer la version 1.3 sur mon jeux en francais et le probleme est le suivant à l'instant ou j attaque une base stellaire la fenetre du jeux s enleve j ai un retour windows violent. Comme si le jeux parrait instable. esque ca le fait à vous aussi ( ceux qui ont al verison frnacaise du jeux ?)

oui moi aussi j'ai des retours violents sous Windows (Xp)... mais cela me le fait sur toutes les verions (1,1.2,1.3).
Par contre, lorsque je relance la sauvegarde avant d'avoir le bug, il se peut que (parfois)le bug n'apparaisse plus... je ne sais pas du tout pourquoi...
Mais de mémoire, lorsque j'avais le premier Galactic Civilzatons, j'avais les mêmes retour windows alors que j'avais un PC différent... Donc pour moi, ça vient du jeu...

Désolé si je ne te donne pas la solution à ton pb... mais si tu la trouve, je suis prenneur

If you speak english, it is easier for you to get help by using it here (we have only one French moderator, and apparently he hasn't seen this thread yet)

The debug.err you posted is one from 1.2. In order to best get an idea of the problem, I need a debug.err generated when you encounter the problem in 1.3, so I can examine the messages the game generates at the very point the problem occurs, if any.

We don't have report from german players yet, but I think it might happen. And it is pretty annoying to have a CTD when attacking a starbase or a ship.

Serait-il possible d'avoir une exemplaire de ton fichier debug.err qui se trouve dans le répertoire de GC2?  Cela permettrait de vérifier ta configuration matérielle et logicielle.

Ok, i solved it.

For french people just edit the english.str file with any text editor (e.g. Notepad) in the french folder.

Search for the [ShipDefeated] and [ShipDestroyed] tags. You will notice two %s in a row. Just remove one of them.

Pour les Francais modifiez le fichier english.str avec un editeur de texte quelconque (ex: notepad) dans le répertoire french.

Recherchez les balises [ShipDefeated] and [ShipDestroyed]. Vous remarquerez qu'il y a deux fois %s d'affilée. Supprimez en un.

Tenez moi au courant pour savoir si ca fonctionne : ca marche chez moi.

I got afrench version too.

Same problem, the game crash always when i try a fleet battle.


I've used the last updatefrom stardock, last driver for mygraphic card.

And 'ive modified the english.str file.

oui ca amrche ce que tu m as dit de faire mais je precise qu il faut el modifier dans 2 fichier sur 3 un dans data -->french et un dans metaverse--> french

That is the problem for this specific bug: it is only for non-english versions updated with the patch 1.3

I don't know specifically but a lot of people have reported problems with them (and the latest few builds in general from nVidia), so I pass that word along.

Je vais essayer le coup des "%"

Sinon j'ai un autre problème, c'est qu'il n'y a plus de "minor races" depuis que j'ai téléchargé le 1.3 ?

Merci Zephilos, ça marche le coup des %, seul petit probleme c'est que le fichier reste avec le logo du bloc note mais cela ne semble pas affecter le fonctionnement.

the english.str patch doesn't work on my version.
